Abstract: Highefficiency continuous casting is the key to make the higherefficiency steelmaking production line come true. The development connotation for new generation of highefficiency continuous casting technology should be higher productivity and higher quality, the core is higher casting speed and the objective is to have less cost, consumption and emission. The solidification deflects such as crack, segregation and porosity occurring frequently during the continuous casting, have restricted the development of continuous casting for high efficiency, and the new generation of continuous casting machine should have the advantages to prevent the occurrence of these deflects. The new technologies developed and applied very recently for continuous casting mold, secondary cooling zone and solidification final end represent the developing direction of continuous casting, and will be the standard technologies for continuous casting machine in future.
