Abstract:Based on discrete system fast finite element, a fast numerical calculation method is proposed to study the accurate and fast model of online control on plate or strip mill. After the deformation zone is meshed by finite distinct elements, taking the influence of shear strain on rolling force into consideration, fast model of rolling force has been obtained under the plane-strain condition. The rolling forces simulated by the model are in good agreement with that of Marc and experimentation. But the shearing deformation parameter is difficult to determine, we got the shearing deformation parameter by BP network on the background of kinds of operating models. The calculation of 1420 5-stand continuous rolling using the model can be completed within 0.3 seconds. The model is of great important to the application of online control on cold and hot tandem mill of strip.
