Abstract:The development and current situation of hot strip automation system in China is briefed. The multilevel computer control system and independently developed key technologies are introduced, which include integrative batch planning for steelmakingcontinuous castinghot rolling, middleware for process automation, integrated shape control technologies in hot strip mills, high precision mathematical model and algorithm, etc. Finally, the prospects of technologies of hot strip automation system are put forward.
