Abstract:In order to eliminate local protuberance of cold rolled coil caused by defect profile of cold rolled strip,inherited from defect profile of hot rolled strip, a new cosine contour of hot rolling work roller was presented based on the analysis of defect profile of hot rolled strip caused by feline ear type of roller wear to control edge thickness and local high point of hot rolled strip. Simulation and industrial experiment showed that profile of strip is improved; edge thickness deviation and local high point are reduced.
