Effects of Copper and Sulphur on Mechanical Properties of Stainless Steel 4Cr13

Abstract:The effect of copper and sulphur on mechanical properties of stainless steel 4Cr13 were studied by high temperature tensile test, impact test and polish test. Results showed that high temperature resistance of deformation of 4Cr13 is not changed by adding copper and sulphur. The percentage reduction in area of 4Cr13 is decreased by adding copper and sulphur. The impact toughness of 4Cr13 is decreased by adding sulphur, while increased by adding copper. The roughness of polished surface of 4Cr13 is increased by adding copper and sulphur.
