Abstract:For(0.15%0.35%)low alloyed CSiMnCrVNb steels austenite grains of 1112 grade can be obtained by controlling the forging ratio. The abrasive property of such steel was studied. The results show, for low carbon grade, the micro cutting gradually changes into serious adhesion abrasion with the increase of load and abrasion velocity of dry friction. For the steel grade with higher carbon content, whose major wearing form is micro cutting, the pan furrows are wider and deeper with minimal adhesion abrasion and spalling fatigue. Under the condition of dynamic load, the major wear form is grinding abrasion. The alloy of 035% carbon content, which can not only resist the cutting of quartz particles, but also can reduce the spalling, has better structure, performance and perfect abradability.
