Abstract:In impressed repeated tension and compression test, by controlling the thickness of wearing layer,the effect of revolution wearing on fatigue life was studied and the initiation,propagation of fatigue crack on superficial coat and subsurface under frictional wearing layer during the whole fiction and wear process were observed. The existence of high strain gradient formed during fiction wear process of surface changed the shape and propagation direction of microcrack, as a result, it affected fatigue life significantly.
