Effect of Heat Treatment on Mechanical Properties of 30MnSi PC Steel Bar

Abstract:Focusing on some problems of 30MnSi prestressed concrete (PC) steel bars such as poor delayed fracture resistance, mechanical property instability, high yield ratio and so on, the tempered sorbite should be obtained by thermal refining to solve these problems and achieve excellent mechanical properties. The relationship between heat treatment parameters and tensile strength,elongation,yield ratio was obtained respectively. The effect of heat treatment parameters on microstructure, strength and ductility of the 30MnSi PC steel bars was investigated and analyzed systematically. Optimum strength and plasticity can be obtained by quenching at 920960 ℃ and tempering in the range of 390430 ℃ with constant heating time.
