Abstract:Reduction kinetic Mechanism of hematite by CO or H2 gas below 570 ℃ was studied. The results show that reduction process is of nonequilibrium process, and its kinetics depend on compositions of reducing gas.Reduction sequence of hematite is Fe2O3→Fe3O4→Fe when the content of CO or H2 in reduction gas can not satisfy the reaction Fe3O4+CO(H2)→3FeO+CO2(H2O); if the later is satisfied, two reduction sequences Fe2O3→Fe3O4→Fe and Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO→Fe will be coexisted.
