Abstract:The behavior of gasbubbles in the ladles with centric and eccentric locatednozzles was studied. In the ladle with centric locatednozzle bubbles rise vertically.For the ladle with eccentric locatednozzle at small flow rate, bubbles rise vertically. When the flow rate increases to certain value,the bubbles offset to the center of ladle. The offset depends on the flow rate and the position of nozzle.Such offsetting is harmful to CAS refining and life of soaking pipe.It is suggested that the soaking pipe should be located towards to the center of ladle.
