Abstract:The lamination factor is an important quality index of non-oriented silicon steel strip. Considering the lamination factor, the non-oriented silicon steel must have a good shape and a smaller transverse thickness difference. In order to solve the edge drop of non-oriented silicon steel strip in Panzhihua steel, a mathematic model that design the roll shape is construct. In the model, the transverse thickness difference of non-oriented silicon steel strip is taken as the objective function. Based on this, a special roll shape is developed. The application of this technology in industry shows that the new roll shapes can control the edge drop of steel strip. The transverse thickness difference of non-oriented silicon steel strip is decreased from 25μm to 10μm.
