Abstract:The problems of strip tension control models for continuous annealing line were studied. The effect of strip temperature and speed on tension and fluctuation was investigated, furthermore,a new mathematical model for strip tension was established. At the same time, according to slip mechanism,a mathematical model was built to describe slip between strip and furnace rolls. Based on these models,a dynamic mathematical model of strip tension was established and a tension feedforward control strategy of strip was set up. Simulation results confirmed that this mathematical model and control strategy are effective.
