Abstract:In order to improve service life of roll and control of strip flatness in hot rolling production,a multiobjective optimization design for backup roll contour was established based on production conditions and strip flatness control theory. Simulated calculation and production experiment showed that contact pressure distribution between rolls is evened; uneven wear of roll body is reduced; edge spalling of roll surface is prevented; and control effect of strip flatness is improved.The optimization roll contour is valuable and worth further spreading.
