Abstract:A new unpolluted deoxidation method was given in this paper. Three experiments were done, under the conditions of no external voltage, external voltage U=0.5V and 1.0V between the steel and CaO(35%wt)-Al2O3(55%wt)-MgO(10%wt) molten slag. The results showed that the velocity of deoxidation increased with the increasing of external voltage U. In addition, according to the derived mechanism formulae of deoxidation, it is concluded that the deoxidation rate could be enhanced by strengthening the stirring of steel, increasing the external voltage, selecting slag system with high electrical conductivity, high basicity and low viscosity, as well as decreasing the resistance of external circuit.
