Research on Wear Contour and Wear Prediction Model of LVC Work Roll

Abstract:Liner Variable Contour(LVC) is a new work roll contour and has been applied successfully in production. By research of the wear contour of LVC work roll the characteristics of LVC wear contour can be obtained. And the strategy of even shifting can be given according to the roll wear on fourth stand.A wear contour predication model was built and a genetic algorithm was used to calculate the best parameters.The practice indicated that this prediction model has good accuracy and can be used for the online predication of work roll wear.
