Abstract:Under the process conditions without hot metal pre-dephosphorization treatment, super quality high carbon liquid steel was produced in a converter with low-phosphorus high-carbon tapping from laboratory research and production process optimization by single-slagging high carbon tapping technology. It solved the problem of process technology for low-phosphorus high-carbon tapping. Using the new technology, the average tapping phosphorus content in the super quality high carbon steel was reduced from 0.015% down to 0.011%. The average tapping carbon content was increased from 0.097% up to 0.44%.
