Microstructure and Magnetic Properties of NonOriented Electrical Steels Produced by CSP Technology

Abstract:The microstructure, texture, precipitates and magnetic properties of three nonoriented electrical steels produced by CSP technology with different (Si+Al) contents (0.5%, 1.0%, and 1.5%) were investigated. The results showed that the microstructure of hotrolled strips and final product was of coarse homogeneous equiaxed grain structure, the average diameter of MnS and AlN precipitates in the hot rolled strip was about 150 nm, and the type of precipitates changed obviously as (Si+Al) increased. It was indicated that the magnetic properties of the nonoriented electrical steels were enhanced significantly by using of CSP technology.
