Abstract:The high temperature properties of iron ore, such as assimilation, liquid phase fluidity, can reflect behaviours at high temperature during sintering, compared with the normal temperature properties of iron ore, so the high temperature properties of iron ore are significant for optimizing ore sintering matching. In this paper, high temperature properties of ores used in Shougang since 2000 were measured, compared and analysed, with results showing that combined water of ore promotes the assimilation of ore, and ore with high SiO2 content has high liquid phase fluidity under the same bascity, on the condition that CaO addition is no more than CaO amount according to eutectic temperature in CaO-Fe2O3.
