Abstract:The aim of this study was to explore the reasonable shape and arrangement of cooling water pipes in stave. Using numerical simulation method,The influence of cooling water pipe crosssection and their arrangenont on cooling effect of stave was analysed.The resistance of different cooling water pipes was studied with hydraulic experiment. The results showed that the round internally connected pipe is the best for cast steel stave; elliptical is suitable for copper stave, the cooling capacity of stave can be increased and cooling water saved when the ellipticity is 08. The results of this study are likely to provide technical assistance to optimize blast furnace stave.
