Abstract:Liquid paraffin instead of molten slag was broken by rotary cup for simulating blast furnace slag granulation process . The influences of rotating speed and mass flowrate on granule diameter and its mass distribution were investigated. The results show that granule diameter is inverse proportion to speed of rotary cup and direct proportion to mass flowrate of paraffin. The shape of granule is stick at high rotating speed. Paraffin mass flowrate has no influence on the shape of granule. The granule mass distribution will be more uniform when increasing rotating speed or mass flowrate.
