Abstract:Industrial trials were carried out in 100t ladles in Shouqin steel plant to study the correlation between the soft bubbling and inclusions removal degree. The results showed that at the beginning of soft bubbling the T[O] in steel is about 16ppm and most inclusions are smaller than 20µm. The inclusions in liquid steel could be removed efficiently with a gas flow rate of 80-110L/min and a soft bubbling duration of more than 15min. Under this condition the inclusion cleanliness index was high, which stands for the inclusions amount in steel and can keep larger than 0.97. When the gas flow rate was over 120L/min or under 60L/min, the inclusion cleanliness index was low, which infers that the inclusions in steel were not removed efficiently.
