Abstract:The thermal balance of No.4 BF and No.1 BF stove in Baosteel was calculated. On the basis of the results,the exergy balance was analyzed. The results show that the exergy efficiency is lower than the thermal efficiency. The exergy efficiency of No.1 BF stove is 6.54% less than No.4 BF stove. The main loss of exergy is focused on the burning irreversible process,the waste gas discharging process,the heat exchanging process and the uncompleted burning process. The measures of saving exergy of hot blast stove are proposed. The exergy can be saved by using reasonable air excess ratio,burning with rich oxygen,reducing the temperature of waste gas,improving the cold air temperature and raising the level of heat recovery device.
