Effect of the Composition and Process on Microstructure and Properties of X80 Pipeline Hot Strip Steel

Abstract:Based on MnMoNb system with three different content, the effect of finishing rolling parameters and rolling temperature as well as the content of C and Mo on yield strength and DWTT shear area values of X80 hot strip pipeline steel were investigated. The results are of practical significance to improvement yield strength and to refinement austenite grain size along with to restraint recrystallization during finish rolling. By adjusting the chemical composition and optimizing the process parameters, excellent toughness and high strength can be obtained.
