Algorithmic Design and Application of Pure Lag Compensation Controller for Monitor AGC via Gap

Abstract:In accordance with features of dead time of monitor AGC via gap,a new Smith predictor was developed. Based on the typical transfer function of monitor AGC main components, the theoretical predictor model of pure lag compensation controller was deduced.The predictor model was reduced by the optimal reduction algorithm,meanwhile the discrete algorithm and design methods of pure lag compensation controller based on optimal reducedorder model were obtained. The site application results show that monitor AGC with optimal Smith predictor has stronger stability,faster response and higher static accuracy than that of traditional monitor AGC.
