Abstract:Base on the fact that the rolls crown was not considered in many literatures when analyzing the influence of the strip width on the strip crown, using three-dimension rigid-plastic finite element method to study the plastic deformation of the strip, influence function method to compute the elastic bending deformation of the roll system, and the three-dimension finite element method to compute the elastic flattening deformation, a analyzing software was built. The influence law of different strip width on the strip crown was studied with this software when the rolls crown changes at the range of -0.5 mm to 0.5 mm. The results show that when the rolls crown is zero, the strip crown changes with the increase of the strip width as the parabola and the strip width at the turning point is 1000 mm, account for 70% of the length of roll barrel. The strip width at the turning point varies from 1300mm to 900 mm when the work roll crown changes from -0.5 mm to 0.3 mm, and when work roll crown is greater than 0.3 mm the turning point is disappear. Otherwise, the backup roll crown just has the influence on the value of the strip crown, the turning point always exist and the position is not changed.
