Abstract： Sticking phenomenon often occurs during hotrolling process of 430 ferrite stainless steel. Aim to the bad influence of sticking on surface quality of strip, sticking mechanism of 430 ferrite stainless steel during hotrolling was analyzed, effect of hotrolling process parameter on sticking behavior was discussed, and some measures were put forward. By appropriate process conditions, such as using high speed steel (HSS) roller, reduction of descaling and cooling during hotrolling, decreasing the thickness of medium slab, and adopting appropriate lubrication, the sticking phenomenon of 430 ferrite stainless steel was restrained effectively.
