Abstract:Under laboratory conditions, the distribution behavior of vanadium between hot metal and slag system of FeO-SiO2-MnO slag at 1380℃ was studied. The results show:the extraction rate of vanadium from the hot metal, the distribution ratio of vanadium between slag and metal phases, and vanadium capacity of slag decrease with increasing SiO2 content;the parameters mentioned above increase with increasing MnO content in the condition of keeping SiO2 content at lower level, when the SiO2 content is larger than 20% they firstly increase and then decrease with increasing MnO content;in the slag system of FeO-SiO2-MnO, they reach the maximum value in the region of keeping w(SiO2) at 10%-20% and w(MnO) at 13%-25%, which is corresponding to the region of giving the lowest melting point; the magnitude of the activity coefficient of V2O3 in FeO-SiO2-MnO slag system is 10-6-10-7.
