Abstract:The effect of processing temperature on δ-ferrite amount in P92 steel was experimentally investigated. Results show that the amount of δ-ferrite decreases firstly and then increases after approaching its lower peak around 1050℃, within the temperature scope from 900℃ to 1200℃. With the help of the Thermo-Calc software, the pseudo-equilibrium phase diagrams of P92 steel were calculated. Its prediction on δ-ferrite evolution agrees well with aforementioned measurement. These pseudo-equilibrium phase diagrams can reasonably explain the experimental results.
