Abstract:Crofer22 APU Ferrite Stainless Steel was one of optional materials of SOFC connector. Through gain weight method, the resistance to high temperature oxidation dynamics was investigated for Crofer22 ferrite stainless steel under condition of 800℃ in the air. Surface morphology and constituent of the oxidation film was analyzed by means of XRD, SEM and EDS techniques. The results show that the Crofer22 alloys’ average oxidation rates under 800℃ are:0.032g·m-2·h-1(0-100h), 0.0091g·m-2·h-1 (100-450h)and 5.0×10-4g·m-2·h-1 (450-550h). The oxidation film of oxidized Crofer22 alloys mainly consists of the outer oxide with Cr2O3 and the inner oxide with SiO2.
