Abstract:The effect of hot strip endless rolling process on high-efficiency and high-precision rolling, technical characteristics, application and latest progress of endless rolling on abroad conventional hot continuous rolling line and ESP line were introduced. Meanwhile, the domestic attention and preliminary research explorations on endless rolling technology were briefly introduced. It was proved by practices that endless rolling technology has significant effect on mass production for thin and ultra-thin strip with low cost, promoting microstructures uniformity and properties stability, improving thickness accuracy and profile quality and enhancing finished product rate, especially partly replacing cold-rolled sheet with hot-rolled thin strip. Hot strip endless rolling technology, as one of the development directions of modern strip rolling technologies for promoting energy conservation and emission reduction, had important research development value and application prospect.
