Dissection Study on Damage Mechanism of Iron-Based BF Cooling Stave

Abstract:The BF cooling stave after a campaign life made by the materials of grey cast iron, nodular cast iron, heat-resistant cast iron, cast steel and copper and used of open loop water, pretreatment circulating water, soft water closed circulation and pure water closed circulation were systematically investigated respectively. The comparative analysis of the mechanical property, conducting property, scab retardation property, easy processing and the economical of different materials of cooling stave revealed the micro damage mechanism of iron-based BF cooling stave and the scaling mechanism of the internal pipe.
