Abstract:In order to make Shuigang become a fine long material production base, the clean steel production platform with high efficiency and low cost was developed in Shuigang’s steelmaking plant. By choice of desulphurization methods of hot metal, research and optimization on long-life combined blowing of converter, integration and optimization of LF fast refining and high effective constant-speed casting, choice of processes according to requirements and producing characters of various steels, process network optimization by specializing productive lines, and order transportation of materials, Shuigang’s steelmaking plant realized high effective low-cost clean production of present steels. The test results of products show that, in the case of no cost increase, [wO]≤0.002 %, [wS]≤0.006 % and [wN]≤0.004 % in 82B can be produced in large scale, brittle alumina inclusion and spherical oxides can be controlled effectively, silicate and sulfide inclusions can be rarely found, 90% of inclusions are smaller than 10 um, clean steels are obtained.
