Abstract:The less slag smelting process of using raw dolomite replacing parts of the lime and magnesium ball was introduced in 120 t converter of Ma steel. The influence of less slag smelting process on the effect of dephosphorization and the temperature control was analyzed. The results show that the less slag smelting process can reduce the quantity of slag and be able to meet the requirements of dephosphorization and the temperature control. The total dosage of slag charge can reduce 22.88 kg/t(steel), and the corresponding cost can save 12.25 RMB/t(steel). At the same time,the metal material losses can be reduced 3.76 kg/t(steel). So, it has good economic benefit.
