Torque calculation and online testing of crankshaft for slab sizing press

Abstract:Slab sizing press has the advantages of high efficiency of width adjustment and good plane shape,of which crankshaft is one of the key components and the crankshaft torque is an important parameter for the design of the structure and the rolling technology. Up to now,the theoretical and experimental research on the crankshaft torque of the slab sizing press has not been seen. For this purpose,the walking-stopping type slab sizing press is studied as the research object. Firstly,the relationship between the crank,the connecting arm and the curved plate is analyzed and the corresponding simplified mechanism is obtained. Then according to the relationship between geometry and mechanics,the formula for calculating the torque of the crankshaft is obtained. Finally,the torque formula is verified by online testing,providing an important theoretical basis for the design of the slab sizing press and the rolling technology.
