Abstract:Variation of temperature plays an important role in microstructure,precipitatation of secondary phase and grain size during coils cooling. Hence,it is significant to obtain the temperature field of cooling coil. By calculating specific heat capacity conformed to real cooling technology, and building heat transfer coefficient of inner surface of steel coil and thermal resistance between two adjacent layers of steel coil,the current study simulated the progress that high strength microalloyed coils were cooled in nature by software DEFORM-2D. The comparison between the calculated temperature reduction and the measured value indicated that the model was correct. This paper analysed the effect of coil thickness and coiling temperature on the distribution of temperature. The results show that the larger thickness of sheet is,the more uneven distribution of coil temperature is. A higher coiling temperature can prolong the time of thermal reaction,but the cooling rate of each part doesn’t change.
