Study of Coal Modifying Additive’s Influence on Un-coking Coal Blended in Coal Blending |

Abstract By developing a new coal modifying additive (ZZZ) which be applied to modify the un-coking coal’s ability, in order to blended the modified un-coking coal in coal blending. The coke’s quality improved, which blended modified un-coking coal, the ratio of un-coking coal increased, the cost of coal blending reduced, and the coking coal’s resources can be broadened. The coking test of blended un-coking coal was carried out in 2kg coking-oven, the influence of ZZZ on coke’s quality was studied. Through the test we had known that the best particle size of hard coal is less than 3mm (70% of them less than 1mm). The opium ratio of un-coking coal is 15% which contain hard coal and blowing soft coal were 5% and 10% respectively; meanwhile the ratio of ZZZ is 0.10%. The coke’s quality form this program can be up to the level of coke produced in Nanjing Iron and Steel Co..
