Process Optimization for CSP X60 Line Pipe Steel Strip Based on Microstructure and Mechanical Property Prediction Model |

Abstract The thermomechanical coupled finite element model for simulating hot strip rolling was developed by use of commercial FEM software. The distribution of calculated equivalent plastic strain through the thickness direction in CSP rolled product was either of Vshape or Ushape. The rolling loads predicted by developed thermomechanical coupled FEM model had good agreement with the measured values. The uniformity of deformation during hot rolling could be improved by properly increasing the slab thickness and adopting large reduction rate in first several rolling passes. A set of integrated models for simulating microstructure evolution of Nbmicroalloyed HSLA steel was developed with microstructure and mechanical properties prediction technology, and the optimal CSP hot rolling process of X60 was built by using the developed integrated models.
