Abstract Qualified cast ingot of large transect, produced by steel and iron with slag, can be used to make solid waste are fully utilized. The key issue was to reduce the amount of Non-metallic inclusions in molten steel. It was carried on the experiment and the analysis for the system of the refining slag ingredient、pre-deaeration and blowing the Argon fining craft by adopting EBT+LF+Die Casting craft. The result indicated that applying CaO-Al2O3-SiO2-MgO slag with appropriate alkalinity and dregs quantity to slagging and then pre-deaerating by the alloy of SiAlBaCa(addition:1.2kg/t steel), blowing the Argon in different period of fining craft with different flow and time. After treatment, T[0] content in steel has been reduced below 40ppm, the amount of inclusions in steel, especially large granular inclusions(D≥50~80μm) decreased more than 50%. The steel ingot casting qualified rate from 85.7% enhanced to 100%.
