Abstract n order to analyze the effect of deviation of vertical roller on head deformation zone of HBeam and force parameters,the deviation of vertical roller at early contact with rolling pieces was gained through geometrical space relation of deformation zone of flange and web. The finite element model of Hbeam rolling with and without deviation of vertical roller was established. The HBeam head displacement field and rolling force parameters were studied in detail. Calculation results showed that the method of deviating axis of vertical roller can reduce the length of “tongue” of HBeam head, and reduce the loss of crop end. At the meantime, it can increase the stability of biting. The results provided the theoretical reference for revamping of existing universal HBeam rolling mill.
