Abstract In order to improve the surface quality and overall mechanical properties of 0Cr18Ni9 stainless steel strip cast by twinroll strip casting process, the strip was direct cold rolled. The result shows that an obvious improvement in structure and properties of cold rolled product, with weak anisotropy is obtained, and the corrosion resistance is greatly improved. Thus the direct cold rolling of cast 0Cr18Ni9 stainless strip is feasible.
