Achievement on the Thin Slab Casting Process in China |

Abstract The worldwide status of thin slab casting process has reviewed briefly, and the development course of thin slab casting in China is discussed in detail. Nowadays, China is the number one of production of thin slab casting process in the world. Meanwhile, the great progress on production technologies, equipment development and integration of process system has been achieved. The index of production technique is improved gradually , the variety of steel product and proportion of high value added product of thin slab casting line are increased year by year. And finally, the problems and research direction of thin slab casting process in China are put forward.
