Abstract The rapid development of steel industry as well as rolling technologies in China leads to a continuous advancement in processing technologies and equipments of roller industry. The current status of domestic roller industry is introduced, and for the development of roller industry, it is suggested that the special attentions should be paid to the information and fundamental study, the control of roller manufacturing,and key points of processing, the study on application of rollers, the improvement in production efficiency, and safety production.
