Study on Austenite Grain Growth Behavior of HighStrength Shipbuilding Steel |

Abstract Austenite grain growth behavior of the highstrength shipbuilding steel at various temperatures and holding for different time was studied by optical microscope and TEM. The results show that the steel has good anticoarsening ability at elevated temperature, the austenite grain coarsening temperature was about 1250 ℃, the isothermal growth equation of austenite grains obeyed the parabolic expression at 1100 ℃ and 1200 ℃,and with the increase of heating temperatures the precipitates were dissolved,only TiN was observed at 1250 ℃.
