Mathematical Model of Thermal Deformation Behaviors for H13 Steel |

Abstract In order to actualize the finite element analysis for the failure of the die which is made of H13 steel, the thermal simulations were achieved on the Gleeble-1500 simulator. From which, the relationship between the temperature from 20 to 650℃ and elastic modulus was obtained, the thermal compression behaviors of H13 steel from 650℃ to 800℃and strain rates from0.1s-1 to 20s-1 were also investigated. Results show that the elastic modulus and flow stress decreases with the increase of temperature,while the stress rises with the strain rate increases. Combining the generalized Hooke’s Law and the hyperbolic sine function which is described by Zener-Hollomon parameter, a mathematical model describing the thermal behaviors of H13 steel was established.
