Research on Precipitates and Relationship With Martensite of Maraging Stainless Steel |

Abstract The aging precipitates and the relationships with martensite of Custom 465 were researched. The results show that Ni3Ti is the major precipitate in the steel. The precipitates take the form of poles with the longitudinal axis parallel to [111]M. The relationships between the precipitates and the martensite are (011)M//(0001)Ni3Ti [111]M//[1120]Ni3Ti. These relationships make Ni3Ti precipitate in 12 kinds of possible variants.
