Analysis of Long Ear Disfigurement of Plate |

Abstract In order to forecast the long ear disfigurement of plate with high precision, and correlate parameters of plan view control, on the base of theoretical analysis,the conception of tiny cell was brought forward,a forecasting model of long ear disfigurement was built. Using volume conversation law, the model proved that volume of long ear is formed from the tiny cells at the head, and it is best to use long ear volume at 0.2 times width of rolled piece from the edge as identification index of long ear disfigurement.The identification index then was uncoupled into the product of elongation percentage and length of tiny cells at the head.With quantitative model of tiny cells at the head,a forecasting model of long ear disfigurement was obtained. The model was applied to a 3000 mm plate mill,with good effects.
