The Precipitation of Inhibitor (Cu2S) in the experimental Grain Oriented Silicon Steel Made by the Thin Slab Casting and Rolling Process |

Abstract This paper studied the whole process’s precipitated characteristics of inhibitor (Cu2S) in the grain oriented silicon steel produced by the thin slab casting and rolling process, and then analyzed the effectiveness of inhibitor (Cu2S) in the experimental steel. The results indicates that the main inhibitor (Cu2S) of CGO steel with typical composition continuously grows in the whole process; The distribution density and volume fraction of Cu2S continuously increase before the high temperature annealing process; After the purification treatment in high temperature annealing process, residual Cu2S grows and the distribution density and volume fraction of Cu2S decreased greatly; As the main inhibitor of CGO steel produced by the thin slab casting and rolling process, Cu2S has enough effectiveness, so Cu2S can satisfy the requirements of secondary recrystallization of CGO steel.
