Technical Analysis on Hot Blast Stove of Large Capacity Blast Furnace |

Abstract Technologies of hot blast stove for 5000m3 grade blast furnace were compared and analyzed. Taking an example of 5000m3 grade blast furnace, the body surface area and surface area heat dissipation of Didier external- combustion stove and top- combustion stove were compared under the same conditions of such design parameters as the blast temperature, blast volume, combustion medium etc. Through simulation analysis, the high temperature flue gas velocity distribution, high temperature gas flow field distribution and checker brick top surface temperature distribution for Didier external-combustion stove and top- combustion stove were also compared to provide constructive suggestions for reasonable selection of hot blast stove technology. Because of obvious advantages in the body structure technology and the flow field heat transferring technology over other types of hot blast stove, top-combustion stove was the development trend of the high temperature hot blast stove technology. The application of top- combustion stove on large scale capacity blast furnace can achieve significant economic benefits.
