Influence of Solution Temperature on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of 00Cr27Ni7Mo5N |

Abstract The effect of solution temperature on the microstructure and properties of hyper duplex stainless steel 00Cr27Ni7Mo5N was investigated. σ phase precipitation and its effect on microstructure and mechanical properties were analyzed by OM, SEM, EDS, microhardness measurements, impact and tensile tests. The phase diagram was calculated with the Thermo-Calc thermodynamic software and compared with the experiment results. It can be conclude, the intermetallic compound σ phase precipitatesed in the range of 800-1050℃, leads to an obvious increase in the hardness and strength, a sharp decrease in the ductility and toughness;contrary results are obtained with increasing the solution temperature from 1070 to 1200℃, the optimum solution temperature of the steel is about 1100℃.
