Abstract A experiment study on the characteristics of fluidizing behavior of binary particles in disturbance mixed dryer was carried out by combining gas with mechanical strength. The factors such as binary particle size, bed height and mechanical strength intension influence on characteristics of flow and heat transfer were analyzed, and the relative formula of heat transfer coefficient was obtained by dimensional analysis method. The characteristics of flow and heat transfer were improved effectively through mechanical strength action. It provides technical support for wetness-adjusting and grading integration technology of coking coal in industrialization area.
